Information Technology (IT) is a pivot of new phase lift to educational system. It has reformed the mode of learning on the part of learners from passiveness to activeness that promote mental reform and skills. In all learning, one of the ways to ascertain the level of students understanding in a given concepts network is to provide either formative or summative assessment. Hence, in this paper, an online-based model is developed for assessing students’ understanding with stepwise solving of calculus questions. The system presents the students’ understanding as it relates to retention and recall on those inter-concepts that they need to know.
